100% basalt

The fibres are produced by melting basalt rock. Basalt fibres are chemical fibres made from natural substances.

The extraordinary properties of this material, including its high temperature resistance and tensile strength (comparable to glass and carbon fibres), make 100% basalt tape suitable for applications in exhaust systems (automotive) and insulation technology (pipeline construction). UV and chemical resistance as well as low moisture absorption also make basalt tape particularly suitable for diverse applications.
